Tony Pattison is a Senior-Principal Researcher for the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries. He has been based in north Queensland, Australia at the South Johnstone Research Facility for over 30 years, working principally on soil borne issues faced by the banana industry in that region. Tony has an undergraduate degree from the University of New England, a Masters degree from the University of Sydney and a PhD from Bonn University. He has been involved in several international collaborative projects during his career in Asia and Latin America. His current research emphasis is developing an integrated management system for banana Fusarium wilt.
