After the success of the 2021 and 2023 event, the third Banana Scientific Symposium will be held in alongside the 2025 Banana Congress. The Scientific Symposium is an excellent opportunity for the banana research community to share their latest findings, exchange ideas, strengthen connections, and initiate new collaborations. The symposium will be a full-day event featuring 10-minute scientific presentations followed by Q&A sessions.
The Scientific Symposium will provide RD&E providers attending the 2025 Banana Congress a chance to present more detailed accounts of their latest research, along with opportunities to showcase posters as part of the Congress program.
The Australian banana industry is well supported by researchers from various government agencies, universities, and other service providers across Australia. The Symposium is a valuable platform for fostering communication and collaboration among researchers, ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality scientific research that benefits Australian banana growers. Participants rated previous Scientific Symposia very highly, noting the new contacts made and the enhanced understanding of banana R&D activities. Previous events attracted over 60 researchers from a diverse range of RD&E service providers, and we hope to see similar attendance this year.
Growers keen to hear about the latest Scientific developments may also be interesting in attending and are welcome.
Information for the 2025 Congress is being prepared.
