Leanne Erakovic is CEO of the Australian Banana Growers’ Council, the national development organisation for the banana industry.
Leanne joined ABGC three months after the first detection of TR4 in FNQ in March 2015. One of her key roles in the years that followed was managing the first infested property, which was purchased by industry in 2016 to slow the spread of TR4.
Leanne sits on the Panama TR4 Management Board which has governed and delivered the TR4 Program in collaboration with Biosecurity Queensland throughout the TR4 Transition period. In her capacity as CEO, Leanne is working alongside BQ and leading the ABGC’s team towards industry leadership after 30 June 2023.
She is proud to be advancing the interests of banana growers through advocacy and representation to ensure a strong industry future.
