Dr Kathy Crew has worked to protect agronomic crops and improve viral pathogen management strategies for over 20 years, with 15 years’ experience in banana viruses. She has strong expertise in epidemiology of vector-borne pathogens (including BBTV), characterisation of novel viruses and strains, and development of diagnostic reagents and assays. Since 2012, Kathy has managed the post-entry quarantine pathogen screening component of the banana germplasm import pathway.
