Jeff Daniells

Jeff Daniells has over 40 years’ experience in various aspects of banana research and development with the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries at South Johnstone, north Queensland. Banana R&D has taken him to many parts of the globe including banana production locations in Asia, the Pacific, Africa, Europe and the Americas. He currently leads the Hort Innovation and Australian banana industry funded project ‘New varieties for Australia banana growers’ and is responsible for importation/development of new varieties and their evaluation with particular emphasis on Tropical Race 4 Panama disease resistance.
