Andre Drenth

Prof Andre Drenth is plant pathologist with over 34 years of experience and currently is program leader Crop Protection in the Centre for Horticultural Science at the University of Queensland, Australia. Andre has worked on the genetics, population genetics and control of a wide range fungal and bacterial diseases of major tropical and subtropical crops such as macadamia, citrus, and bananas and a wide range of smaller crops. He links more fundamental research with applied and practical solutions. Andre has also joint edited three books on banana production, genetics, and pests and diseases.
