Paula Doran

 Congress MC

Paula Doran has been a journalist, editor, publisher, casting agent and now Communications Manager for the ABGC.

In a career spanning 24 years she has specialized in rural issues for the bulk of her career. Her highlights include time as a volunteer in East Timor where she led the reconstruction of a radio station called ‘Radio Happiness,’ post Timorese independence; a year at the Scotsman Newspaper in Edinburgh where she wrote about a humble sheep called Dolly…and many years in outback Australia working for ABC Rural radio.

Why are you excited about participating in ABIC 2017?

I am thrilled to be taking on the role of MC for the peak gathering of the industry. Having worked extensively on the planning of this year’s Congress, it will be a pleasure to present a talented list of speakers who will inspire and inform.
